Remembering Montecassino

Minister Fantino, joined by Coloner Spike Hazleton, laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Canada at the Polish War Cemetery in Montecassino.

Minister Fantino paid tribute to the 1000 Poles who died in Montecassino, saying, “We honor these brave Polish soldiers who fought and died in the defense of freedom and liberty. Lest we forget their contribution to all mankind.”
