May 5, 2023, Canada-Poland Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Excellence Awards Gala.

Nearly 250 business minded participants gathered to celebrate 2023 Excellence Awards. The event started with a networking reception and was followed by the formal part and dinner.

This year, the Chamber invited the Marshal of the Senate of Poland, Prof. Tomasz Grodzki who arrived with a large delegation – 5 senators and several Senate staff. Prof. Grodzki delivered a keynote address.

The event was attended by local representatives of the Republic of Poland, including Witold Dzielski, Ambassador, Magdalena Pszczolkowska, Consul General in Toronto and Michal Pszczolkowski, V-C Consul, Economic Affairs. Representing Ukraine was Oleksandr Shevchenko, Consul General of Ukraine in Toronto.

There were also several local Canadian politicians: Lianne Rood, Member of Parliament, Hon. Kinga Surma, Member of Provincial Parliament and Minister of Infrastructure, Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, Member of Provincial Parliament, Bonnie Crombie, Mayor of Mississauga and Annette Groves, Mayor of Caledon.

There were many other distinguished guests representing many small and large businesses, Polonia and other industry organizations, as well as members of other European Union Chambers of Commerce.

The Chamber and award recipients received congratulatory letters from The Rights Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada and Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of His Majesty’s Opposition, while both Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario and Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton delivered video greetings.

The event was a great success! Networking opportunities were plentiful, food was delicious, and the calibre of award recipients was excellent.

The Chamber is already inviting to join 2024 Excellence Awards Gala during which the Chamber will celebrate its 30th anniversary. Let’s support our Chamber!

Congratulations to all award recipients, participants, and Canada-Poland Chamber of Commerce for a great event!
