On May 2, 2025, Canada-Poland Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Excellence Awards Gala at the elegant Clubhouse EventSpace in Toronto. The prestigious event brought together nearly 250 guests, including business leaders, diplomats, government officials, and members and partners of the Chamber.
The evening began with a lively networking reception, offering guests the opportunity to engage with prominent political and diplomatic figures, including Ontario’s Minister of Infrastructure, Kinga Surma; Minister of Long-Term Care, Natalia Kusendova Bashta; Ontario Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie; as well as Ambassador of Poland to Canada, Witold Dzielski, and Consul Piotr Frelak. Former Members of Parliament and local officials were also in attendance. Most importantly, the evening provided a welcoming atmosphere to reconnect professionally, socially, and within the Polish-Canadian business community.
The formal program was opened by representatives of the Chamber, followed by a video greeting from Ontario Premier Doug Ford. The evening’s Guest of Honour, Ambassador Dzielski, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the growing economic ties between Canada and Poland, and the increasing presence of Polish businesses in Canada — and Canadian companies in Poland.
The awards ceremony recognized outstanding achievements across nine categories, followed by dinner and remarks from selected honourees.
The gala not only celebrated business excellence but also served as a platform to strengthen relationships across the broader international and European business communities. Guests included members of other EU chambers of commerce, media representatives, and leaders from various sectors.
